Writing began as a system of record. So did we.

Sumerian Technologies engineers point-of-sale, cashier, and government software for institutions across Jordan, Iraq, and the wider region — built for the transactions, records, and approvals large organizations can't afford to get wrong.

What we build

Three categories of software. One bar for all of them: systems an institution is willing to put its name on.

I.

Point of sale & retail

High-volume checkout systems engineered for speed at the till, resilience when the connection drops, and simplicity a first-day cashier can run without a manual.

II.

Government & public sector

Platforms built for ministries, municipalities, and public agencies — architected around approval chains, audit trails, and full Arabic/English parity from day one.

III.

Enterprise software

Custom-built platforms for organizations whose operations don't fit an off-the-shelf tool — architected around the business, not the other way around.

About

Sumerian Technologies is based in Amman, engineering software for institutions across Jordan, Iraq, and the region.

Our name traces back to the first civilization to turn transactions into permanent record — the scribes of ancient Sumer, who pressed the world's earliest receipts into clay. We build the modern equivalent: point-of-sale systems, cashier platforms, and government software that large organizations run on every day. The medium changed. The mandate didn't — record it accurately, and make it easy for the next person to trust.
